1995
Range Rover County Classic (SWB - Short
Wheel Base)
Impressive Condition, Clean California Car
Offered at
$8,995
This is
an exceptionally clean, 1995 Range Rover
County SWB - the last and best year of the
'Classic' body style. The vehicle has been
in California its entire life and is extra
clean inside and out. With less than 107,900
miles from new - this vehicle has had a
steady stream or Land Rover Center and
Independent Land Rover service and
maintenance to keep it running in tip-top
condition. The air suspension has been
converted to springs and shocks (Old Man
Emu) - which incorporates a 1 5/8 inch body
lift. This mild lift creates a great look,
adds additional ground clearance and
provides extra room for the new 265/75 - 16
Nitto Terra Grappler AT radial tires. They
ride and handle great, are quiet and give
the vehicle a great look. The tires do not
rub, however I did have the steering stops
adjusted slightly.
The car
has power windows, power locks, power glass
sunroof, cold air conditioning, cruise
control, SRS dual airbags, tilt steering
wheel, Premium harmon/kardon 160-watt audio
system with 8 channels and 9 speakers which
includes both cassette tape player and the
optional 6-disc changer. The Straight Grain
Walnut Wood Trim and Sorrell Tan Leather
Upholstery are both (nearly) perfect
(...really, look closely at the pictures),
the headliner is nice and clean and the
carpets are in great condition. Genuine Land
Rover rubber floor mats are also included -
they look great and protect the interior
floors well. The Alpine White paint is in
excellent shape and the body is clean. The
Range Rover includes the original books,
extensive service records, rear load space /
dog guard, roof cross bars, and two
functioning keyless entry remotes.
Printed
Land Rover information reveals the
Manufactures Suggested List Price for a
Short Wheel Base County Classic was $45,000
+ the optional 6 disc CD changer. USA sales
in of the 1995 County were 5655, with the
SWB model being quite rare. The engine is
the strong and reliable 3.9 liter V8
Buick/Rover motor with 182 bhp and 232 lb.
ft. of torque. In an effort to curb oil
leaks, I had the front crankshaft seal
replaced and am happy report this Range
Rover County does not leak oil. This was
important to me and I am happy with the
result.
This
Range Rover starts easily, runs smooth,
steers straight, and stops well. The wheel
alignment is dead straight, and the vehicle
is tight and strong. I took the car in for
service in early October for an oil & filter
change and a few minor repairs. It currently
does not need anything.
The only
items on the car that do not function are
the Auto-Dimming rear view mirror, it no
longer auto-dims..., and the heated front
seats. I looked into repairing the heated
seats and was informed they need new heating
seat elements - which would need to be
replaced by splitting open the leather
seats. The seats are perfect and I did not
want to split the seams to replace the
heating elements. While the body is
virtually dent free, the roof top has a few
minor dents (I guess from carrying cargo or
a bike?). The dents could be repaired by a
dent removal specialist, but the original
headliner would need to be dropped and I did
not want to disturb that. There is also a
small dent in left rear D-pillar / black
vinyl trim area. The windshield also has a
small chip or two, but they are not in the
drivers sight line. All this stuff is very
minor, and communicated in a effort to
describe the vehicle as honestly as
possible. This Range Rover Class is truly in
amazing overall condition. It drives
excellent and looks outstanding.
Other
Information, & Rules:
I am
small licensed and bonded Sports Car dealer
in Costa Mesa, CA.
I have a
clear California title for this vehicle in
my company name. The car has been recently
serviced and is ready to go - anywhere! This
vehicle is sold "as is" and without a
warranty of any kind. This Range Rover is
now 13 years old. It is very, very nice, but
it is not 'perfect'. Seeing a car with your
own eyeballs is always the best. If this
cannot happen, I will assist you anyway I
can. I have sold cars to people site un-seen
and I have never had an unhappy client. I am
told I do a proper job describing the
vehicles I sell - so please bid with
confidence. I would be happy to describe the
vehicle to you - please call me for more
detailed information. Communication is key.
If you ask me a question I will do my best
to answer it in a timely manner. If you bid
and win this auction, please communicate
with me quickly - it is the key to success.
This
vehicle is also offered for sale locally and
I reserve the right to end this auction at
anytime. If you are interested in making me
an offer to purchase, simply call me: Ken @

Because I
am a dealer I am required to collect sales
tax & registration fees if the vehicle is
delivered in California (driven in
California). If you are from another state
outside of California, taxes and
registration fees are your responsibility,
in your location, and I will need to ship
the car to you - or at least across the
state line. I require a Bill of Lading from
a license carrier - to prove the vehicle was
shipped out of state. (These are not my
rules - call me to discuss this if
necessary).
If you
are from California, a $65 smog fee will be
collected. A $50 document fee will be
collected on all transactions. I have used a
number of different shipping companies and
can assist in helping you choose a quality
carrier. Vehicle shipping expenses are the
responsibility of the winning bidder /
buyer. Good luck!
