Caterham Super Seven SV DeDion
Vin: SDKLDK5NS30050171
Current Mileage: 1,925
$37,900.00
One of only
a handful of Caterham 'SV's' legally registered in California.
Smog exempt, California SB100 vehicle.
This is
a 'top shelf'' piece of machinery. No disappointments here.
The car is spectacular to drive and to look at. Simply gorgeous
– with no expense spared.
This vehicle is light weight and very fast. It has been fully
teethed, and is completely ready for you to twist the key and
enjoy.
The 'SV'
model is 4.3 inches wider and 3.2 inches longer than the original
Super 7 designed by Lotus founder Colin Chapman. I am 6'5"
and I am very, very comfortable.. It amazing! Unless you are
a little person - you need an SV.
The original
owner paid over $48,000 to have this car assembled by Autocourse,
Inc. (former Caterham franchise dealer in Orange County, CA).

History:
I am the cars second owner and I purchased it with approx. 600
miles on it. To start the teething process, I immediately upgraded
the engine from its Ford 2.0 Liter Zetec engine to the Ford
2.3 Duratec. The car was originally Polished Aluminum with British
Racing Green Cycle Fenders, Nose and Wings. At about the 650
mile mark, the car experienced a suspension failure, (the driver's
side front A-Arm broke at the nose mounting point). Caterham
in the U.K. paid for all repairs, parts, & labor via a goodwill
warranty claim. Just to be safe I had all left side suspension
and brake components replaced as well as the A-Arm on the right
side. At the same time I elected to paint the entire car Norfolk
Mustard Yellow. This is a Lotus Esprit factory color which I
believe looks stunning on the car. It is also very easy for
everyone else to spot you on the road - which hopefully makes
it just a little bit safer as well.
The paint,
body, and interior are perfect, clean and fresh. The car is
wiped down after each drive and stored in my garage with a cover.
With the
current exchange rate, it would cost well over $50,000 to replace
this car today. And then you would still have over six months
of building and teething to do! The very rare California legal
and smog exemption registration is also quite valuable and difficult
to obtain. If you have read this far you must be interested.
